Beetle Systematics

My studies focus on beetle taxonomy and systematics. I am specifically focusing on the family Aderidae (Coleoptera: Tenebrionoidea) for my doctoral research. This is an under-studied taxon that has never undergone a phylogenetic analysis at any taxonomic level. I will be addressing the 'higher' systematics of the group by analyzing the fifty genera currently defined using a combination of morphological and molecular tools. I will also be performing a morphological revision for one of the Australian genera.
