News Items Please update your personal page so new
directory pages will contain more interesting and useful information - 4/16/08
Please go to the People page and follow the
link to View and edit your personal page. For units doing the
data loads for Purchasing, this will allow the new directory links
on the Our Unit page to provide more useful information.
These new directory links may be used standalone, linked to from
a public web site by webmasters e.g.

Support for CAS authentication and
Single Sign On - 4/14/08
If you access Our Unit via Login, you should see
the new campus Central Authentication Service (CAS)
page, where you should enter your CalNet ID and
passphrase. See

New IT role, help tracking scanned
hardware and installed software - 3/21/08
Human Resources may now assign IT privileges to
staff members who will maintain information about which machines
have been scanned for restricted data elements, per campus audit
requirements. PIs, their delegates, and IT-privileged users should
see the new Maintain IT hardware link on the Our Unit page.
These people may also add records to track software licenses
installed on hardware.
If you are not already using online
purchasing, travel, and expense reimbursement, or merit case, or
faculty and personal page template tools, talk with your
Administrative team about enabling these functions for you.

The public portions of this page do not require
authentication to view. But, you need both authentication with a CalNet
ID, and authorization to view pages such as Recruiting.
